Impressive Results for SSOE Group in ENR's 2010 Rankings
By Globenewswire

TOLEDO, Ohio, July 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SSOE Group (www.ssoe.com), an international engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, announced today it has been named to 6 Top 10 spots in the recently released, revenue-based ENR rankings, the premier publication covering the A/E/C industry.

SSOE was named to the number two spot for Food Processing, Solar Generation, and Industrial and Manufacturing Green Firms. SSOE also ranked in the Top 10 in Automotive (4th), Chemical Plants (9th), and Industrial Process (9th). In addition, the firm was ranked 12th in Manufacturing and 84th among the Top 500 Design Firms, up 19 spots from 2009.

Tony Damon, President and CEO of SSOE, states, "The rankings we received this year and in past years reaffirm the steps the company has taken to remain at the top of the A/E/C industry and sustain our business through the economic downturn. Each year, SSOE continues to move up the rankings in the core industries we serve. Key to this growth during turbulent economic times has been our ability to return more than 1/3 of our revenue back to clients in the form of project savings."

These rankings were published in the 2010 Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 500 Design Firms Sourcebook rankings and Top 100 Green Design Firms report. Both provide market analysis and rankings of the largest U.S.-based architectural and engineering firms and are ranked according to revenue for design services performed in 2009. Content Insider #148 - The iGen
NO...Doesn't have a thing to do with "that" smartphone...or "that" store...or "that" tablet. It's the next generation. Kids and we mean little kids. That's what today's products are being designed for/targeted at. You happen to buy one...fine. Watch a little, little kid pick up a smartphone. He/she just uses it. They've come pre-wired and we're still trying to figure out how to IM. It's the IGen. They want it instantly. They want to use it instantly. They expect their photos, their video, their music, their stuff immediately when/where/how they want it. Read More

Insider #149 - Game Demographics
The blood, gore, adrenalin challenges that were unveiled at E3 and enjoyed at ComicCon are fun to look at, easy to hold but are they really the games people want to plunk down their credit cards to own or rent time with? Seems as though the investors, the players who control the controllers have a different idea of a "good" game than the kids who develop them. While mobs of people play educational, informational, stimulating games our kid huddles in his room and mumbles "The Few, The Proud, The Gamers." Read More
