Now that you have created the Top, Front and Section views, you
can create a 3D view which shows the entire part.
You will find our version of the drawing to this point in the 2609d.dwg
drawing file located in the 2609.exe
self-extracting executable.
1. From
the View Viewports menu, choose 1 Viewport.
2. Select two points to create a view in your layout. See figure
1.
3. From
the Views 3D Views menu, choose SW Isometric.
4. From the View Zoom menu, choose Window.
5. Select two points to put a window around the model in the viewport.
6. From the View menu, choose Hide. See figure 2.
7. Double-click
in an area outside all viewports to toggle into PaperSpace. If you
prefer you can select MODEL on the status bar at the bottom of the
screen.

3.
9. Right-click
on the edge of the viewport and choose Properties to display the
Properties window.

11. From the list to the right of the Hide plot label, choose Yes
so that when this viewport is plotted, it will have its hidden lines
removed. See figure 4.
12. Close
the Properties window. The 3D view should still be selected. If
it is not, select it again.
13. n the Properties toolbar, from the Layers list, choose VPORTS
to move this object to this layer.
14. On the Properties toolbar, in the Layers list, choose the On/Off
icon which looks like a lightbulb. See figure 5.
15. The
lines around the viewports will disappear. You will have turn the
VPORTS layer back on if you want to modify the viewports in the
future. See figure 6.
You will
find our version of the finished drawing in the 2609d.dwg drawing
file located in the 2609.exe self-extracting executable.
