DigitalMediaNet Announces DigitalCAD Community Choice Award Winners

November 16, 2000 SANTA ANA, Calif.—Digital Media Online (http://www.digitalmedianet.com/ ), the world's leading developer of B2B vertical online communities for the digital media market, has announced the winners of the DigitalCAD Community Choice Awards.

The DigitalCAD Community Choice Awards are determined by AEC professionals who voted for their favorite products and services showcased in the A/E/C SYSTEMS Fall 2000 exhibit hall. DigitalCAD Community Choice Award winners are based entirely on input from show attendees, experienced users who are familiar with the products or services or were introduced to them for the first time. The voting ballot used a fill-in option to allow attendees to write in up to three favorite products or services. The highest six vote counts determined the winners.

The Community Choice winners for Best Products or Services were Bentley Systems' Viecon.com, Primavera's Prime Contract, and IronSpire's Jobsite. The winners for Best New Products or Services were @last Software's Sketchup, Constructw@re's project management service, and Timberline's Gold Service Management software. All winners will receive a DigitalCAD Community Choice Award logo to use for promotional purposes and product information will be featured on www.digitalcad.com and www.aecnewsroom.com. Additional information on each of the winning products is listed below.

Viecon.com from Bentley provides a real-time, interactive environment for comprehensive, project life cycle management of all the tasks and documents associated with a project. In use, you can create and manage projects with a comprehensive suite of scheduling, tracking, meeting, and calendar-based software. Meetings may be physical (in a single site), teleconference, or on-line, interactive, where the host's screen is visible to all participants.

IronSpire JobSite is a project-specific extranet used to communicate and capture all project-related documents, activities and decisions. Users can post RFI's, view change orders and redline drawings. Team members are instantly notified of any changes by email or wireless phone. All activities are archived for future reference. With its real-time decision support environment, JobSite will allow a project team to tighten communication, control documents and create an audit trail.

PrimeContract, a business unit of Primavera Systems Inc., is the global e-commerce marketplace for the AEC industry. PrimeContract provides owners of construction projects and construction companies with a competitive advantage by harnessing the power of the Internet to electronically automate the entire sourcing, bidding and procurement processes for commercial construction projects around the world.

SketchUp from @Last Software has been driven by the growing need among design professionals for a more intuitive and accessible 3D modeling program. The core of SketchUp is an interface in which the user simply draws the edges of the desired model in 3D space and the software automatically "fills" the shapes to create 3D geometry.

Constructw@re is a project management solution designed for the internet. Designed mainly for general contractors, architects and owners, Constructw@re enables companies to manage all projects throughout the entire life-cycle, from pre-bid to completion, saving time, reducing risk and maximizing profitability.

Timberline's Gold Service Management helps you meet the unique demands of running a construction service operation, and offers a comprehensive application designed to provide you with quick, ready access to vital service information. Service Management streamlines dispatching, simplifies billing and enhances the ability of your dispatchers to communicate more effectively with both customers and technicians.
