The Architectural edition of Cinema 4D is a truly excellent and remarkable program that is almost essential for anyone doing any type of architectural visualization. It is also a must have for anyone who works in the television, telephone or telecommunications field, as I know first hand how many videos and shows that are done that show telephone, television and other signals coming into people's homes.
Bringing Your Architectural Vision To Life With Cinema 4D Architectural Version
Part 2: How C4DA works with Graphisoft's ArchiCAD 11 to make creating your architectural visualization faster than lightning

In the first of my two part series, I looked at how to take a CAAD drawing from an older version of Autocad, and import it into Cinema 4D Architectural edition (C4DA), and I had mentioned that it was "The Long Way" to work. In this article, I'm going to show how C4DA works with Graphisoft's ArchiCAD 11 to make creating your architectural visualization faster than lightning.   [FULL STORY]

My father has been an architectural designer here in Toronto for longer than I have been alive. What he does is design extensions, renovations and full house plans for customers to take to a contractor to have built. One downside to what he does is that with the drawings that are produced, you really only have a 2D wireframe version of what your house is going to look like when the job is finished. It's really not a great way to show a customer what their "dream home" is going to look like.   [FULL STORY]

Systemax Endeavor Workstation
Systemax is a manufacturer of solid PCs and notebook computers that can be purchased largely online and via mail order at Systemaxpc.com. When I first heard that the company was going to introduce a creative workstation, I really panned the idea, because, one, the market for creative workstations is really small when compared to its main notebook and desktop PC business, and two, so many companies have entered and exited the market. SketchUp into modo
SketchUp is a very simple 3D design application which is quickly gaining popularity. Purchased by Google and offered in two different flavors (one free, one pro), the allure of the software has most notably been it's ability to interact with Google Earth. Delta 7 Sports shows off high tech Arantix Mountain Bike at CES 2008
One of the most unique products at the CES 2008 trade show was not so much a technology device but rather a device created with some pretty radical technology, the Delta 7 Sports Arantix Mountain Bike, and specifically the mountain bike frame. I have been a mountain biker ever since my mother got her business client, the late Richard Long (GT Bicycles) to get me one if its newfangled Triple Triangle-framed mountain bikes in the mid 1980s. At the time it was the most unique bike of its time, until the full suspension models came out. [FULL STORY]

Content Insider #106 "GPU vs CPU"
It's a little strange out there. There's a huge demand for minimalist portable computers. There's a giant demand for heavy honkers that serious gamers carry, open and use to test their eye/hand coordination and ability to concentrate. Why can't we get a good all purpose system that won't melt our polyester pants with a battery that will continue to breathe for the length of our flight? Read More
